This program was first created to help my son expand his creativity by writing. When I began to share the book he wrote (at five years old) this program just exploded because other children wanted to write their very own book (just like he did), also!
Since 2003 I have taught over 5,000 children to write and illustrate a complete 16 page book. Most of the children I teach have a special need – mental, physical, emotional and / or mental. They ALL deserve the same opportunities to learn and grow!
My program includes a power point presentation that teaches children to embrace diversity, using penguins. These 17 species of flightless birds possess unique special characteristics and abilities – just like we do!
In my programs I teach 30—300 children at a time. I combine art, literacy and disability awareness while engaging their creativity to help them grow – inside and out!
