It began to snow yesterday morning around 5 a.m. here at our house in Parker, CO. (we’re just slightly south of Denver.)
By 11:30 a.m. yesterday we had at least 5″ of snow and notes were being emailed to parents that the school would be closing “early.”
My good friend Linda called just after the email came in and offered to pick up Oliver from the school. Since Tanner was home not feeling well this worked out wonderfully. Aren’t good friends the best gifts?
It continued to snow and we now have over a foot of snow. It’s still snowing as I type right now. If / when it stops (it has to, right?) we’ll head outside to make a snowman (or 10) and maybe even do some sledding!
There’s a great hill not too far from our house. (south of Main on Jordan for local friends!) Maybe we’ll see YOU there after noon!
We’re going to make homemade tortillas first! Watch for the recipe!!

That is crazy about the snow! We are warm here in 80 degree weather.
THIS is sooooooooo funny! I used to live in Colorado (near Vail) and KNOW exactly what you’re talking about! Your storm brings back memories of sledding and hot chocolate. I wish I could have been there for the homemade tortillas! YUM!
Stay safe!
You have a great article. I loved reading it very much. Thanks and keep up the stupendous work.
