My son Tanner will be nine in August.  He should be done writing  his 5th book.  He is creating his first movie and the entire family hears developing details daily.  I am actually getting to “know” his characters a bit.  His characters, created in his mind and quite Sci-Fi, have varied personalities and abilities and most are highly evolved.  You could call genius part the  “A” part of Asperger’s Syndrome.

His hearing is near perfect.  We know this because of hearing tests given to him after skin graft surgeries in both ears.  Many times, days, weeks… one would never know that he can hear – at all!  This I would refer to as the other end, or  “Z” part of Asperger’s Syndrome.  Is it because he is a boy that he has such selective hearing?  Maybe.  Is it due to his age?  Probably a contributing factor.   Are there ways of communicating in such a way that he hears (and responds)?  Sometimes.

To overcome the selective hearing “issue” I have been known to  add in the word ‘hyena’ or ‘wharthog’ or even one of the characters from his upcoming movie.  This generally grabs his attention.   Raising my voice works like a trap door where  I’m almost always left on the outside.   When I connect with him in ways that stimulate his creativity I usually get invited into his world of imagination… and that’s pretty cool.  Try it today – you never know where you might go.

Have you read Jim Carry’s article  yet?  It’s amazing and, in my humble opinion, ‘dead on.’  You can read it here:  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jim-carrey/the-judgment-on-vaccines_b_189777.html

Jim states, “The truth is that no one without a vested interest in the profitability of vaccines has studied all 36 of them in depth. There are more than 100 vaccines in development, and no tests for cumulative effect or vaccine interaction of all 36 vaccines in the current schedule have ever been done. If I’m mistaken, I challenge those who are making such grand pronouncements about vaccine safety to produce those studies.”

I have to wonder… will anyone respond to his challenge.  I’ll be very surprised if anyone can produce valid studies.

We parents know.  We know that there is a problem with vaccinations.  We see our children become ‘different’ after vaccinations.  What we don’t know, what we’ve never been told… is the truth.

We investigate, we research until we’re blue in the face and we find hope.  It costs us literally thousands of dollars to bring our children back home and then we look back and wonder why more hasn’t been done to protect our children.  NOW is the time, parents, to move forward and to focus on healing your children.

I lost my son twice; the first time to immunizations and the second time to PANDAS.  He has recovered from PANDAS and has mostly recovered from the toxic damage from immunizations.  He is doing quite well now and we will continue to focus on his healing.  I hope you will do the same.

The first step is to become educated and I hope to be able to assist you. I welcome  your thoughts, your stories and your events that support education. I  will happily post anything and everything relevant and positive.

Thank you and Blessings to you,

Rhonda

It began to snow yesterday morning around 5 a.m. here at our house in Parker, CO. (we’re just slightly south of Denver.)

By 11:30 a.m. yesterday we had at least 5″ of snow and notes were being emailed to parents that the school would be closing “early.”

My good friend Linda called just after the email came in and offered to pick up Oliver from the school. Since Tanner was home not feeling well this worked out wonderfully. Aren’t good friends the best gifts?

It continued to snow and we now have over a foot of snow. It’s still snowing as I type right now. If / when it stops (it has to, right?) we’ll head outside to make a snowman (or 10) and maybe even do some sledding!

There’s a great hill not too far from our house. (south of Main on Jordan for local friends!) Maybe we’ll see YOU there after noon!

We’re going to make homemade tortillas first! Watch for the recipe!!

This morning I watched this trailer about a boy who was helped with his Autism – by a horse! Click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klth8prjkAs

I had to wonder if we aren’t looking at the world of Autism all wrong sometimes. Do we really need to “cure” people with Autism or simply learn to understand them and their way of seeing the world?

Another amazing person with Autism, Sue Rubin, http://www.sue-rubin.org/, was diagnosed as mentally retarded at 4. She has a “severe form” of Autism yet she has learned to not only overcome her limitations but to inspire others as well.

Her documentary, Autism is a World, is eye-opening. Check out more here: http://www.cnn.com/2005/EDUCATION/09/27/cnnpce.autism/index.html

This morning I listened to a wonderful call hosted by my friend, Peggy McColl. She was interviewing Mark Victor Hansen.

During the call he talked about being in remedial reading as a child and struggling.

THEN he talked about how he changed his thinking. His next book, The Richest Kids in America, teaches others how young kids made their money and how you can too!

Now, I don’t know about you, but we are spending thousands every month trying to “do everything right” for our children when the ‘real’ message is to teach THEM to do everything right (by themselves)!

When we empower our children we empower the world. They are our future and we will greatly benefit by teaching them NOW.

Peggy has more calls in the next few days – you’ll want to listen here: http://www.hayhouseradio.com/index.php

AND – download Mark Victor Hansen’s awesome FREE tips go here: http://www.youpublish.com/ideas

WIN-WIN-WIN!!!
Many Blessings to YOU today,
~Rhonda
